Flu Prevention Information

Please review this list and help us prevent the spread of the flu virus.

TOGETHER we can make a difference!

  1. Do not return to school or work until your student or you are fever free, without fever reducing medication for 24 hours.

  1. Get the flu vaccine. This will help protect you or your child from getting the flu.

  1. Avoid close contact with others who are sick or when you are sick. Keep your distance from others when they are sick or you are sick.

  1. Stay home when you are sick. Stay home from work, school, and errands when you are sick.

  1. Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.

  1. Clean your hands. Wash your hands frequently.  If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub.

  1. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

  1. Practice other good health habits. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at home, work or school, especially when someone is ill.
