Parents high school band students have been give a medical release form. It was passed on Monday and the band department needs it back by Friday Aug. 27,2010. It is very important that we have this form on file for our students in case there is need for your student to have medical attention. Your students are valuable and we want to make sure we take ever precaution neccessary for their safety. Thank you for all of your help.
After a long two weeks of camp some of the West Hardin Band members enjoyed a water event to cool off from the HEAT!!!!! The water was well enjoyed by all. Even Mr. Tucker got in on the action by having the water cooler dumped on him SEVERAL TIMES!!!!!!! Talk about COLD!!!!! The West Hardin Band also enjoyed an ice cream pig out at the end of the first week of camp.
Band parents and those adults that suport the band are needed. The West Hardin Band Boosters are looking for anyone that supports our band kids to become a part of the West Hardin Band Boosters. We can always use your help with raising funds, providing snacks or meals, helping with trips wether it is being a chaperone or contributing finances. We also have alot of plans for the future and we would like to include you in a rewarding and gratifying experience.
All Band student 6-12 can sign up for after school help in the band hall. Each lesson is 15-30 minutes long. High School Band members should be getting help with any of the music they are playing. All students should practice at home approximately 30 mintues a day to enjoy a benefit of progress.
The West Hardin Golden Pride Band will be Marching in the Oil Patch Parade on Sept. 11, 2010. Students will need to report to the parade site by 9:00 a.m. Students will need their horns and music.
