The fourth grade was the first place winner of the “Trick or Trunk” competition. Trina K., Sheila C., Jennifer H., and Kristin C. were quite creative in their efforts to win first place which was their goal from the beginning. Every booth at the event was planned with much inspiration which made this first annual event very successful. Thanks to Tim M. for his wonderful ideas to provide activities for our youth that involves the entire community. Thanks also to the parents and sponsors who contributed to this event with donations, those who contributed their time and money to make booths, and those who came and participated. Each year this event will be better which is something to look forward to since this year was above our expectations.

Can Food Drive
Fourth grade is on a roll this year. Jennifer H. came to us with a suggestion to have our students collect can goods for the Southeast Texas Food Bank. Wow! They collected 547 can goods. Mrs. Henry’s class was the winner of the class competition with 222 cans. Now you know why your pantries are bare. This was such an awesome event because our students are learning about compassion this month, and this was a perfect opportunity with the holidays approaching. We all want our children to be thoughtful of others especially at this time.
